About BookAChauffeur
About BookAChauffeur
Is BookAChauffeur a limo company? +
No. BookAChauffeur is a matching platform that connects Canadian riders with local chauffeur operators. We do not own vehicles or employ drivers — we make the introduction; the operator delivers the service.
Is it free? +
Yes — completely free for riders. Operators in our network pay BookAChauffeur for matched lead requests. You never pay BookAChauffeur anything.
Where are you based? +
BookAChauffeur is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. We are Canadian-owned and serve Canadian riders coast to coast.
Do you operate in [my city]? +
We are launching across Canada with eight founding-market cities (Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Halifax, Hamilton) and route requests nationwide. Don't see your city? Submit a request anyway — we'll let you know what's available.
Pricing
Pricing
How much does a limo cost in Canada? +
Limo prices in Canada typically range from $90–$150/hour for a standard stretch limo, $125–$200/hour for an SUV limo, and $150–$250/hour for a party bus. Luxury sedan chauffeur service is usually $65–$150/hour. Airport transfers are commonly priced as flat rates by city. Actual pricing varies by city, vehicle, duration, and operator — submit a quote and local operators come back with real numbers.
Are gratuity and taxes included? +
Gratuity and taxes vary by operator. Some include a standard 15–20% gratuity in their flat rate; others leave it to the rider. The operator who quotes you will clarify what is and is not included before you book.
Do you mark up the price? +
No. BookAChauffeur is not in the payment loop. The price the operator quotes is the price you pay them directly — we do not add a fee on top.
Vehicles
Vehicles
What vehicles can I request? +
You can request luxury sedans (Lincoln, Cadillac, Mercedes), executive SUVs (Escalade, Navigator), classic stretch limos, SUV stretch limos, party buses, Sprinter vans, and premium black car services. Availability depends on the operators in your city.
Can I specify the exact vehicle make and model? +
Yes — note your vehicle preference in the quote form and operators will confirm what they have available when they contact you. We don't promise a specific make from our side; the operator does.
Can I book a vintage or classic car for my wedding? +
Some wedding operators carry vintage and classic vehicles. Note this preference in the quote form — we route the request to operators who indicate they offer it.
Booking & response
Booking & response
How long does it take to get a quote? +
Response time depends on the operator and the time of day. There isn't a fixed turnaround. Once an operator picks up your request, they reach out directly by phone or email. If you don't hear back in a reasonable time, email info@bookachauffeur.ca and we'll follow up on your behalf.
How far in advance should I book? +
Standard trips and airport transfers: 24–48 hours is usually sufficient. Weddings, prom, and major events (New Year's Eve, Calgary Stampede, TIFF): 6–8 weeks minimum. Premium vehicles like stretch Hummers or party buses fill fastest.
Can I book for a cross-city or long-distance trip? +
Yes. Routes like Calgary to Banff, Toronto to Niagara, Vancouver to Whistler, and cross-city airport transfers are common. Enter pickup and drop-off in the form and we route to operators who handle long-distance trips.
What if no operator contacts me? +
Email info@bookachauffeur.ca. We read every message and follow up with operators in your city on your behalf.
Operators in our network
Operators in our network
Are the operators verified? +
We personally onboard every operator who joins our network — we don't accept random Google listings. Before any operator receives a rider request, we confirm they're a real Canadian limo business. We're a new platform building this carefully; as we grow, our onboarding process will tighten to include formal insurance and licensing checks. We'll update this answer when those checks become standard.
Are drivers background-checked? +
Operators in our network run their own hiring processes — most commercial chauffeur operators in Canada require a clean driving abstract and a valid commercial driver's licence. Ask your matched operator directly about their specific procedures.
Can I leave feedback about an operator? +
Yes. Email info@bookachauffeur.ca with the operator name, date of service, and your experience. Patterns of poor response or service get operators removed from the network.
Special requests
Special requests
Can I bring drinks on the limo or party bus? +
BYOB is legal on licensed limo vehicles in most Canadian provinces (Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia all permit it on licensed vehicles). Specific rules vary by province and licence type — confirm with the operator who quotes you.
Can I request a multilingual chauffeur? +
Multilingual chauffeurs (Mandarin, Punjabi, Hindi, French) may be available — note your language preference in the quote form and we route to operators who indicate they can serve it.
Can I bring my dog? +
Some operators allow pets, others don't. Note that you'll be travelling with a dog when you submit the request and the operator will confirm at quote time.
Payment & data
Payment & data
Who do I pay? +
You pay the operator directly. BookAChauffeur does not process payments. Payment terms (credit card, e-transfer, on-account, deposit policy) are confirmed by the operator at booking.
Can I get a receipt for a corporate expense claim? +
Yes — partner operators provide professional invoices and receipts suitable for corporate expense reporting.
How do you protect my information? +
Your details are only shared with operators we've personally onboarded and matched to your request. We don't sell or rent your data, ever. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
