BookAChauffeur.ca ("we", "us", "our") is a Canadian lead-matching platform that connects riders with licensed limousine and chauffeur operators. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

When you request a quote, we collect the information you provide through our forms, including:
- Name, email address, and (optionally) phone number

- Service type (e.g., airport transfer, wedding, corporate)
We also automatically collect:
- IP address, browser type, and device information
- Pages visited and referral source (including UTM parameters)
2. How we use your information
- To match you with licensed, insured operators in our network
- To share your request details with those operators so they can provide quotes

- To improve our service, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations
3. Disclosure to operators
By submitting a quote request, you consent to us disclosing the information you provide to one or more operators in our network for the purpose of fulfilling your request. Operators are contractually required to use your information only to contact you about the requested service.
4. CASL — commercial electronic messages
Under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we will only send you commercial electronic messages where you have given us express or implied consent. When you submit a quote request, you provide express consent for us and our matched operators to contact you about that inquiry. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing unitasmovers@gmail.com or using the unsubscribe link in any commercial email we send.
5. Your rights under PIPEDA
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent and request deletion, subject to legal retention requirements
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at unitasmovers@gmail.com.
6. Data retention
We retain lead information for up to 24 months for service and fraud-prevention purposes, after which it is anonymized or deleted. Information required for legal or tax purposes is retained for the period required by law.
7. Security
We protect your information using industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, restricted database access, and secure hosting in Canada. No system is perfectly secure — please avoid submitting sensitive information (e.g., payment details) through our forms.
8. Cookies
We use cookies for essential site functionality (session, CSRF protection). We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may not function correctly.
